Part 1: Michael Colson, the hero of You Can’t Stop My Super X-Ray Vision

Eighteen years old and already the CEO of LVMX, a global luxury brand with a flagship store called Mercurious, which is where the series meets him in episode 1, stopping an attack with his supervision and then picking a gift for his girlfriend. He has x-ray vision, the power in the title, and for most of the first ten episodes he uses it for exactly one thing: seeing the spider in Ava Shaw’s throat in episode 3 and sending her to the nurse before it kills her.

What he does not use is his money. He arrives at Maple Valley in a grey blazer and a backpack, is mistaken for a poor small-town boy by his own girlfriend, and lets the mistake stand through the breakup in episode 4, the trophy-boyfriend deal in episode 6 and the whole of the party, where he is stained, insulted and nearly thrown in a toilet. The origin describes him as introverted and bookish; the series shows him smiling through the humiliation.

He tells Ava about the x-ray vision in episode 5, the first person at the school to know, and agrees to be her boyfriend for the cameras in episode 6. Part 2: Kelly Jones and Barry Dawes in You Can’t Stop My Super X-Ray Vision

Kelly Jones

Michael’s long-distance girlfriend, the one he transfers schools to surprise, gift in hand. She never learns who he is before she cheats: in episode 3 he catches her with Barry, and in episode 4, taking him for a poor small-town boy, she dumps him in front of the school. At the party she calls him pathetic and psychotic and washes Ava’s purse in the toilet, sure it is a cheap knockoff, in episode 9. The origin’s guides describe her as a scheming gold digger who wants a second chance once his identity comes out.

Barry Dawes

The star of the lacrosse team, from a wealthy family, and Kelly’s new boyfriend. He hosts the Welcome Ava house party at his mansion in episode 7, has security called on Michael in episode 8 and wants to throw him in the toilet in episode 10. The origin’s guides call him hot-tempered, self-centered and pompous, and say he targets Michael right up until he learns who Michael is.

Part 3: Ava Shaw in You Can’t Stop My Super X-Ray Vision

The world’s most famous influencer, with more than four hundred million followers, newly arrived at Maple Valley and in need of a boyfriend for her audience. In episode 2 she announces to the school that Michael is that boyfriend before he has agreed to anything; in episode 3 he turns her down, then saves her life without her knowing how. In episode 5 she thanks him and hears the truth about the x-ray vision, and in episode 6 he accepts the deal and she invites him to her welcome party.

She is late to that party, stuck on a call with her publicist, which is why Michael faces Kelly and Barry alone in episodes 7 to 9. In episode 10 she arrives, sees what they have done to her date, and claims him publicly as her boyfriend. The origin’s guides make her the heart of the series: kind, genuinely in love by the end, and the only person who saw the real Michael before the money.

Part 4: The places and names of You Can’t Stop My Super X-Ray Vision

LVMX is Michael’s brand, a global luxury company; Mercurious is its store, attacked in episode 1. Maple Valley High School is where the series happens, from episode 2 on. The Welcome Ava house party is Barry’s, at his mansion, and runs from episode 7 to episode 10. The nurse’s office is where Ava’s life is saved in episode 4.

The cover shows two more figures the first ten synopses do not name, a platinum-blonde woman in a fur coat and a young man in a light-blue shirt, and a grey-haired man in a suit appears at the party in episodes 13 and 14.
