Part 1: The story of Sold to the Warlord Born for the Sky YouTube

A Northern kingdom that has not called a dragon in a century, a king who loses every war and a daughter raised far from all of it. Halgar sells Cassia to Ravek, the warlord who rides dragons at the head of the Blackclaw horde, and she leaves with an iron cuff on her wrist.

The binding ceremony and the Proving come quickly: standing before Ravek’s dragon while everyone waits to see whether it bows or bites, which no Northern bride had done. It bows, and the princess who was sold becomes queen. Then come Lothar, the ex-fiancé who attacks her and is punished before the kingdom; the dragonfire Ravek walks through for the binding; and Drusilla, the lover, who provokes Cassia and always loses.

The Drusilla scene in episode 13 turns the game: Cassia claims her husband in front of the mistress, and he starts teaching her to call dragons. The end is the war with the Frostkin clan, the kidnapping Borin sets up and Cassia awakening as the strongest dragon caller. As a loose clip, that turn looks like it comes from nowhere; whole, it is the only way out.
