From there Ravek teaches her to call dragons.
The end is a war. Borin, leader of the Frostkin clan, sets up Cassia’s kidnapping with a diversion and the clan’s Frost Dragons. She lets herself be taken, because she already knows what Ravek will do, and he crosses into Frostkin lands to bring her back. In the middle of the battle Cassia awakens the power sleeping in her blood, severs the Frost Dragons’ bond to Borin and reveals herself as the strongest dragon caller. The couple’s kiss seals the victory and a thousand years of peace. The princess the North gave away for having no dragons ends the series calling her own.
