Part 1: I Rule the Wasteland Harem characters: who is who

One by one, in the order they enter the story.

Cover of I Rule the Wasteland Harem: Wade in sunglasses with a rifle on his lap, sitting on a rusted armored vehicle with four women around him, one in a black lace dress, a short-haired brunette, a blonde in a red dress and one in a white dress at his feet, before a ruined city with a cracked planet in the sky

Wade Ryder

The protagonist. A scrap scavenger after World War III, he trades what he finds for cans of food and gets robbed by Jasper and Graham, who humiliated him in high school. When he pulls a skull ring off a skeleton’s finger, he becomes the host of an alien technology that hands out rescue missions with a countdown and pays in food, water, medicine and weapons.

He buys the Grant sisters at the auction, saves Sally with twenty seconds on the clock, builds a house with the three of them and goes to war when the Wasteland gang takes Margaret. He ends as King of the Wasteland, with four wives and guards.

Margaret Grant

The elder of two sisters from a family that was wealthy before the war, sold in one bundle with Kate. She is the wife who takes over the house, boils the chicken soup and has the highest affection rate. The Wasteland gang kidnaps her on the move to Wasteland City, and again in the final stretch.

Kate Grant

The younger sister, a short-haired brunette, auctioned together with Margaret. She courts Wade with a massage that is too hard, is the one who notices when Sally and Margaret go too far, and follows Margaret’s trail with Wade and Sally when the gang takes her.

Sally Quinn

A former actress, a blonde in a red dress, harassed by Jasper and Graham until Wade takes her from them with fire and twenty seconds on the clock. Third wife, seductive, she fakes a weak leg to sleep with Wade and fights Margaret for his arms.

Tyra

The fourth wife, a queen with armed guards, who enters when Wade is already becoming king and completes the harem of the title.

Jasper and Graham

Wade’s high school bullies. They steal his scrap, bid cans of food at the sisters’ auction to humiliate him, harass Sally and get set on fire for it. In the war they are on Boone’s side and fall with him.

Boone

The leader of the Wasteland gang, once Wade’s neighbor. He has Margaret kidnapped, accepts Wade’s inventory in exchange for her, pretends to forget and then denies he promised anything. He is defeated by the weapon upgraded by the ring.

Duncan

A secondary character the episode 6 synopsis shows furious that Jasper and Graham are gone after the fire. The available synopses say nothing more about him.

Part 2: The story of I Rule the Wasteland Harem through its characters

The series is the sum of Wade’s relationships. With the ring, he stops being Jasper and Graham’s victim and becomes the buyer at the auction they wanted to win. With Margaret and Kate, he gains a home; with Sally, he gains the rifle and a third contender for his attention at the table.

With Boone, he gains an enemy with a face: the old neighbor who kidnaps Margaret and denies the deal. And with Tyra, at the end, the harem of the title is complete, and the scavenger the bullies used to rob becomes the king the guards address as Your Majesty.
