The Quarterback Next Door

202687 episodesen

Skylar Heron begins her senior year feeling unseen, even as she imagines asking Jamie Donner to the winter ball. Once inseparable childhood friends and next-door neighbors, the two drifted apart after sixth grade, leaving Skylar unsure whether Jamie, now the school quarterback, remembers their closeness. Encouraged by her best friend Addie, she considers taking a chance but loses her nerve—and is shoved down by Tiffany Ryland, the cheer captain, before she can speak to him. Her awkward year becomes more complicated when a class project pairs her with Jamie, and a house fire leads him to move into Skylar’s room. Their forced proximity brings old friendship, school pressure, and Skylar’s feelings into sharper focus. Meanwhile, Jamie’s ex-girlfriend threatens to disrupt their lives, while Skylar faces a possible transformation from overlooked wallflower to someone the school cannot ignore.
