A story told in vertical episodes.

For seven years, Lucas Cross did all the housework and paid every bill—while his wife's family called him a useless moocher. When they jet off on vacation without him, refusing to buy him an $890 ticket, they leave him stranded at the airport. What they don't know: the man they just abandoned is the chairman of a billion‑dollar conglomerate. That day, something in him breaks for good. He files for divorce. As his true identity comes to light, the family's world crumbles—her friend is exposed as a gambling fraud, and his wife comes crawling back. But Lucas has already closed the door. Some regrets come too late.
