Part 1: Where to watch Vindication: Blood of the Archmage

Vindication: Blood of the Archmage is complete on Drama em 1 Minuto: 40 episodes, from the square where Leon dies to the square Cedric walks away from, in order. It opens in the browser on your phone or computer, with no app store and no sign-up, and the vertical feed moves to the next episode by itself.

All 40 are free, first to last. The series is finished, so there is no waiting for a new chapter: 1 hour and 19 minutes of screen time, in episodes from 59 seconds to 4 minutes and 55 seconds.

The production is an AI-generated animation with a realistic look, made in English and not dubbed; there is no cast, and the names are the ones spoken on screen. The official synopsis calls the hero Ryan, but you will only ever hear him called Cedric.

Part 2: Where to start Vindication: Blood of the Archmage

Start with episode 1 and do not skip it: at 4 minutes and 55 seconds it is the longest of the series and it carries the whole backstory, the monster in the square, the Archmage losing his mind, the Royal Advisor’s blade, the old woman who freezes time. Everything the Capital believes for the next thirty-nine episodes is decided in those five minutes, and so is everything Cedric believes.

Episodes 2 and 3 are the fourteen years later: the mountain, the master who sends him off and follows in secret, the grave, and Uncle Frank and Uncle Tomas with the Archmage’s staff. By episode 4 Cedric is at the registration desk in the Capital giving his real name, and from there the series does not stop until the wedding.

The first eight episodes add up to twenty-one minutes and end on the cliffhanger of the statue, with a crowd laughing at a strike that did nothing and the line "what the hell is going on?". If you only have a lunch break, that is the block to watch; the answer is the first thing in episode 9.

Part 3: Who is who before you watch Vindication: Blood of the Archmage

Cedric Darrow is the hero, the Archmage’s son; Leon Darrow is the father who dies in episode 1; the Royal Advisor is the man who kills him and the Advisor’s son, Paxton, is the rival at the trials. The white-haired old woman is Cedric’s master, and the series will tell you who she really is in its own time. Princess Euphemia is the childhood friend who lets him into the trials; Frank and Tomas are the two uncles who survived; the King is the King.

Places to keep straight: the Capital, the mountain, Thousand Sail Harbor where the trials are held, the Monument of the Ancients with the statues of the great sages, and later the Black Rock territory and Flea Street. The [characters guide](/en/articles/vindication-blood-of-the-archmage-characters) has one section per name, with spoilers.

Part 4: What to expect from Vindication: Blood of the Archmage

A revenge fantasy with a court conspiracy underneath. The first half is the trials: a statue to smash, a death match against the kingdom’s mages, elves, holy knights and a reveal. The second half is the same Capital turning on Cedric again, with a necromancer pulling the strings, and it is harder to watch than the arena, because the enemy is the crowd.

There is a romance, and it is the one the tags at the origin hint at with words like age gap and immortal: it is between Cedric and his master, and it is the reason the series ends the way it does rather than with a coronation. The violence is fantasy violence, gold light against green runes; the cruelty is in the dialogue.

Three mages shouting with their staffs raised, a woman in a red robe with a gold-trimmed hood, a grey-haired man in green with a green-glowing staff and a man in dark blue with a blue-glowing staff, while a column of golden light hits the water in front of them
The kingdom’s mages face the gold magic, in episode 12.
