Part 1: The story of Never Reject A Wolf Princess
At the tree where she met Derek, Lia finds another man. He introduces himself as Cassian, "the Silver Wolf," and thinks she's the girl he hired for twenty thousand to be his date to the Summer Solstice Dance. That girl got cold feet. Lia turns down the money and leaves with the Moon Lilies she waited hours to pick, a gift for Derek's sick grandmother.
Derek arrives holding hands with Elise, an Alpha's trueborn daughter. "She's my new mate." He now leads the Stormvale Pack and plans to seal the Silverwind alliance at the dance in two days. He can't show up with an orphan Omega. Lia tells the truth: she made up the orphan story, she's the princess, and the alliance only exists because she pulled strings. Derek and Elise laugh. In the Moon Goddess' name, he rejects her.
He expects her to beg. Lia accepts the rejection. Cassian, who saw all of it, steps in and says she's his mate. Then he introduces himself: Alpha Cassian, leader of Silverwind, the very ally Derek means to court at the dance. Nobody believes either of them. By episode 5, Lia has lost her mate and gained a stranger who lies as well as she does. No spoilers for the ending.
