In the free arc, Alaina Hill, an heiress whose uncle has taken over Hill Group, finds Kyle Nicolas collapsed at her father's grave. Kyle is a Vampire King who was betrayed by his fiancée Selena and his brother Luke. At the shareholder meeting in episodes 10 to 14, CEO Richard wipes out her shares and calls her Twilight Group contract a forgery, until Kyle walks in with the real Twilight Group. Start with episode 1.

She takes him home, and to stay hidden he becomes her bodyguard. The series has 59 English-audio episodes, in order. Episodes 1 to 14 are free, no account needed; from 15 onward access is paid.
The free block runs about 26 minutes, in episodes of about 1 minute 18 seconds to 2 minutes 51 seconds. That's enough for a graveside rescue, a cut finger, a house trashed by her cousin, a contract that glows gold, a shower that isn't steam, a wardrobe Kyle sleeps in, a friend who wants her to marry a man in a coma, a glass of red wine and a pair of fangs, a slap at a shareholder meeting, a three-second countdown and a $10 billion offer.

Part 2: What happens in episodes 1 to 14
Episodes 1 to 3 set up both betrayals. Alaina, at her father's grave, says her uncle has taken over the company and everyone has turned on her. The man she finds on the grass is Kyle, who in flashback is told by his fiancée Selena Blackwood that she faked being his destined one with a witch's potion and that his brother Luke is taking his throne. After Alaina's blood heals him, her cousin James arrives to claim the house, has his men break everything, and watches them get thrown around for it. James gives her until the shareholder meeting and says only a deal with the untouchable Twilight Group could save her. Kyle, in voiceover, remembers Twilight Group as "part of my empire in the human world," and doesn't say so.
Episodes 4 to 9 are the arrangement. Kyle takes the bodyguard job because Selena and Luke are probably hunting him and a human household is a good place to hide. He limits it to her safety and nothing more, and signs a contract he assumes means nothing. His oath as "Kyle Nicolas, Vampire King" makes the paper glow. He reads the deal literally: when James humiliates her at an office tower he does nothing, and he only steps in when she falls. Rebecca offers her connections if Alaina marries her brother, who has been in a coma for five years. The night before the meeting, Alaina, a little drunk, ends up in his arms in the wardrobe, and Kyle has to put her to bed to keep from biting her. He also makes a phone call ("I have something for you to do"), and later takes one from someone who calls him "Your Majesty" and says everything is set for the meeting.
Episodes 10 to 14 are the shareholder meeting. Alaina insists on fighting alone and slaps James when he calls her a stripper in front of the board. Richard, the CEO, wipes out her shares, tells her to take her father's ashes and leave New York, calls her Twilight Group contract a forgery because the boss never signed it, and slaps her. Then Kyle walks in with the Twilight Group men, the Hill Group security ends up on the floor, and Klaus Williams cuts off the company's cash flow in three seconds and restores it as soon as Alaina asks. The $10 billion offer is for Alaina. Kyle's explanation is that Twilight Group owes him, followed by a joke so she doesn't believe it.
Part 3: Characters in the 14 free episodes
Alaina Hill. Introduced on screen as "The heiress of the Hill Group," daughter of the late Michael Hill and, by her own description, the daughter of the company's founder and former CEO. She brings a stranger home from a cemetery, drafts his contract herself, turns down help that comes with a coma marriage, and hits James in front of the shareholders. She wonders whether Kyle is the one her father sent, while he lies to her about the glowing, the cold and Twilight Group.
Kyle Nicolas. A Vampire King (his own words in the oath) betrayed by his fiancée and his brother. He takes the bodyguard job to hide, reads the contract as narrowly as he can, sleeps standing in a wardrobe, and spends episodes 8 and 9 fighting the urge to feed on her. He recognizes Twilight Group as his, and by episode 14 he still hasn't told her.
Selena Blackwood. Kyle's fiancée (on-screen card), seen only in the episode 1 flashback. She says a witch's potion let her pretend to be his destined one. In episode 4 Kyle assumes she is hunting him.
Luke Nicolas. Kyle's younger brother (on-screen card), who takes Kyle's throne in the flashback.
James. Alaina's cousin ("my dear lovely cousin"), who claims her house, has it trashed, finds her on the floor of an office tower, and spends the meeting insisting the Twilight Group men are hired actors. Alaina calls him "a murderer" in episode 2. The free episodes don't explain why.
Richard. On-screen card: "The CEO of the Hill Group." He runs the shareholder meeting, wipes out Alaina's shares, calls her contract fake and slaps her, then has to apologize to Twilight Group once the cash flow stops.
Rebecca. Alaina's former friend with New York connections. She offers to help only if Alaina marries her brother, who has been in a coma for five years.
Klaus Williams. Manager of Twilight Group (on-screen card and his own introduction). He makes Hill Group's money disappear in three seconds and offers Alaina $10 billion.
Part 4: Episode-by-episode guide to the 14 free
One note per episode, in order, from free playback only. Quotes are from the English subtitles shown in the episodes and from the episode audio. Nothing after episode 14 is described.
Episode 1
At her father Michael Hill's grave, in the rain, Alaina Hill (on-screen card: "The heiress of the Hill Group") tells him that "ever since Uncle took over your company, everyone's turned their back on me," and promises to "fight with everything I got to get back what's mine." She asks him for help, hears something, and finds a man collapsed on the grass: "Dad, is this how you respond to me?" In voiceover the man has "never smelled anything so intoxicating" and can't hold back his hunger. She introduces herself and takes him home anyway. A flashback explains who he is: a crowned king, a dagger, and Selena Blackwood (card: "Kyle's fiancée") admitting she "took a potion from a witch" to pass as his destined one, then telling him "Luke is taking your throne," with Luke Nicolas, Kyle's younger brother, beside her. Back at the Hill house, Alaina cuts her finger cooking pasta and shrugs it off. He watches the blood: "I need it. I can't fight it anymore."
Episode 2
When the scene picks up, he looks restored, his hair swept back, and wonders in voiceover who "this human girl" is, because her blood "has such remarkable healing power." Alaina barely gets out "You just looked completely different" before James walks in with men in suits and announces, "this is my house now." She reminds him that her father brought him and his dad into Hill Group, calls him "a murderer," and swears she'll make him pay. "Oh, I'm shaking in my boots." James tells his men to "break everything in here." Glass shatters while she begs them to stop, and the episode cuts out as one of James's men goes flying across the hall and the stranger steps in.
Episode 3
James backs off but sets a date: the shareholder meeting next week, when "we're gonna be wiping all your shares to the side." Alaina says she'll have enough shares by then to buy back her company. James mocks the only way that could happen, a deal with Twilight Group, which "is untouchable. My dad can't even get near them, let alone a nobody like you." The stranger's voiceover: "Twilight Group? Isn't that part of my empire in the human world?" Alaina kneels over a broken frame holding a photo of her and her father. He tells her there's always a way, and that James's crowd is "pretty weak." She wonders whether he could be "the one my father sent to help me," decides her uncle won't back down, and asks: "What if you were my bodyguard?"
Episode 4
To him, "bodyguard" means protector in the vampire world, "a sacred promise," so he says no. She lists what he owes her (she saved his life and put a roof over his head) and promises to pay him once she gets her company back. In voiceover, his only goal is revenge and he wants nothing to do with "human family drama." Then she produces a written contract. He scoffs at a deal with no blood oath but reasons that Selena and Luke are probably hunting him, and hiding in human society "might not be such a bad idea." His terms: "I'm only going to deal with your safety. Anything beyond that, not my problem." He signs, sure it won't be binding, and swears in voiceover: "I, Kyle Nicolas, Vampire King, hereby swear upon my eternal life to protect Alaina Hill's safety." She reads the signature ("Your name is Kyle Nicolas?") as the paper glows gold in his hands. "Impossible. The sacred contract actually worked."
Episode 5
Kyle can't work out how a contract with a human can be "so powerful." Alaina hands him a bodyguard uniform and sends him to shower. When he doesn't answer, she walks in on him ("Sorry, I thought something happened"): "Wait, is your skin glowing?" and "You're completely pale." He blames the steam, then tells her to go ahead and touch to see for herself. She does.
Episode 6
Alaina leaves flustered ("His abs are rock hard and so cold"). That night she can't find anything about Twilight Group online. She goes looking for Kyle and finds him standing inside a wardrobe: "It's night, Alaina. Time to rest." She files it under "quirks." Kyle starts to offer something ("Maybe I can—"), but she talks over him with her own plan: her friend Rebecca, who has "a ton of connections in New York." On the phone Rebecca calls her delusional and "some kind of charity case," ends the friendship, then offers to help on one condition: "marry my brother. Oh, and FYI, he's been in a coma for five years." Alaina tells Kyle that Rebecca "used to be my friend" and swears she'll find Twilight Group and make them sign with her anyway.
Episode 7
Her phone calls go nowhere. At a glass office tower, a security guard says he's never heard of Twilight Group and tells her to get lost. Her papers end up all over the floor, and James finds her picking them up: "You're just a powerless orphan that nobody cares about." He reminds her the shareholder meeting is tomorrow and that they'll be "absorbing all of your shares." She's shoved and falls, and Kyle catches her. "So where were you when James was bullying me?" "He wasn't a threat to your safety. No need to step in." Under the contract only the fall counted, because it "could have been life-threatening." She thanks her "hero" sarcastically and leaves for her Twilight Group meeting. Kyle makes a call: "Hey, it's me. I have something for you to do. Wait for my instructions." Then he goes back to his wardrobe, smiling.
Episode 8
The night before the meeting, Alaina opens the wardrobe with a glass of red wine. Kyle has one too. "Cheers." She tells him the wardrobe is "kind of weird" but "also kind of cute," says it's "really cold outside, and lonely," that Twilight Group never called back and that they'll kick her out tomorrow. Kyle thinks that they've "both been betrayed by those closest to us." She pulls him close: "My dad sent you to protect me. You're all I have." Kyle, in voiceover: "Too close. She smells even better now, like red wine." She notices his lips are "so cold, like ice." "Don't come any closer to me." The last shot is his fangs.
Episode 9
"Why?" "Because I'm saving you." He tells her she's had too much, and she insists he's her bodyguard and "supposed to protect me." He carries her to bed and asks himself why he's being so nice "to this human girl" and "controlling your urge to feed." She says she's cold. He knows his body temperature won't warm her, so he pulls the blanket up instead: "Sleep now, girl." Then a call: "Your Majesty. The Hill Group shareholder meeting's tomorrow. Everything's all set." Kyle: "Great."
Episode 10
Outside the venue: "The meeting's about to start, and I still haven't heard from Twilight Group." Kyle: "You won't lose. Just take a deep breath and relax." She tells him this is her fight and to wait for her word. Alone, he says it again: "I told you. You won't lose." Inside, James calls the meeting no place for "random losers," guesses that her "deal" was with a strip club, and introduces "my dear lovely cousin, also the former princess of Hill Group" to the room as a cocktail waitress and stripper. She hits him. He calls for security ("Don't spoil our CEO's first shareholder meeting"), then: "The CEO is here."
Episode 11
Richard (card: "The CEO of the Hill Group") boasts about partnerships with the top ten companies in New York, a soaring stock and a market share "increased tenfold," with "one rotten piece of meat" left to remove. "Alaina, as of right now, your shares are wiped out. I want you to get your father's ashes and get the hell out of New York." She refuses: "Hill Group is my company, not yours." James sneers that next she'll claim "a special deal with Twilight Group." "Why not?" She hands Richard a document, and he opens it: "Well, let's see what funny game you're up to."
Episode 12
Richard reads it aloud. He's met every tycoon in New York and "no one's worked with Twilight Group in the last 20 years." Then he calls it a fake, since there's "no signature on here from the Twilight Group's boss," and slaps her: "You liar!" An aide reports that Alaina's bodyguard says a Twilight Group rep is on site. James: "You might as well just tell us all that the bodyguard is the CEO of Twilight Group." Richard declares that she forged the contracts, dissolves her shares and assets, and orders security to drag her out. "Let go of her." Kyle walks in with a line of men in dark suits and sunglasses: "Whoever questioned the contract, the reps from Twilight Group are right here."
Episode 13
James calls it a hired stunt by Alaina and her "beggar" bodyguard, and Richard sends security in to remove "these frauds." The security men end up on the floor. A shareholder notices the neck tattoos: "That's the Twilight Group crest." James still insists it's an act. Alaina, under her breath: "Did you actually hire actors? How do they make it look so real?" Kyle: "Trust me." Klaus Williams (named on an on-screen card) gives the room three seconds before "Hill Group's entire cash flow will crumble." Richard: "He's full of shit." Then the phones start: "All our funds are getting pulled out, the banks, the investors."
Episode 14
Richard apologizes. Klaus: "Not everyone earns the right to speak to me directly. Where is Miss Hill?" He introduces himself as "Manager of Twilight Group"; she introduces herself as "the daughter of the founder and former CEO of Hill Group" and asks him to restore the company's cash flow, which he does "immediately." The proposal is worth $10 billion, "20% of the total of the 10 orders that Richard brought in," and a shareholder predicts the stock could jump "like 50 times." Alaina asks Kyle why strangers are "dying to work with me." Kyle: "I've done some work with Twilight Group in the past, and they owe me." When she pushes, he turns it into a joke: he's "homeless and living off of your charity," so how could he get them to partner with her? "Touché." The free block ends on her question to Klaus: "is today's proposal solely just for me, or does it include the rest of Hill Group as well?"
