Part 1: The full story of Altarboy
A small town, a Catholic church called Sacred Heart and a father on the parish council who cannot accept a gay son. Matthew Martin leaves Theo, eighteen, at the church to be “cured”. The boy tries to leave, is attacked in an alley and is rescued by Father Alexander, the new head priest, whose future at the parish depends on the recommendation of the very man who dumped Theo there.
So the priest makes the boy his personal altar boy, demands respect for the house of God and gets none. Theo overhears a nun’s confession, decides the priest is gay and, forced into the confessional himself, tells Alexander what he feels and what he wants, at the altar, in detail. Alexander punishes him for mockery. The punishment ends with Theo outside the priest’s room, hearing Alexander confess feral needs of his own.
Theo throws it in his face: the priest represses what he wants and pretends to be better than everyone. Alexander rejects him and cannot keep away; Theo turns seduction into a game; they kiss. The town and Theo’s father close in.
The full movie ends in church. Father Alexander declares his feelings for Theo in front of Theo’s father and gives up the priesthood. Theo cuts ties with a father who will never accept him. Both leave their old lives, and they get their happy ending together.
